Camp Gan Israel Activities
Swimming
Ages 4-8 will enjoy a mix of instructional and freestyle daily swimming in Moise Safra Center's state of the art pool. With a 4:1 ratio and rotational swim lessons, your child will surely grow in their skills and comfort level!
Sports
Our dedicated coaches will facilitate games and activities throughout the week in Safra's beautiful gym (rock climbing wall included!) and ensure that all campers will be able to work on multiple skill sets while simultaneously learning the importance of teamwork, a good attitude, persistence and most importantly having fun!
Music & The Arts
Let your child's inner creative come and play! Campers will have plenty of opportunity for singing, dancing, dabbling with different instruments as well as weekly themed art projects using various art mediums.
Culinary
Every week campers will try their hand at a new tasty culinary feat which they will then get to enjoy:)
Trips
Ages 4-5 will have three trips throughout the summer
Ages 6-8 will have weekly trips
Trips are a specialty at Camp Gan Israel. Campers will visit so much of what Manhattan has to offer. Fishing, boating, museums, horse and buggy rides and more! They will enjoy fun activities like kosher scavenger hunts, picnics at the park, and chalking Shabbat. Counselors receive specialized training to ensure they have the skills to supervise campers off-campus, and the director is present at every camp outing.
Central Park & The Great Outdoors
We like to take advantage of being so near to Central Park (a 10 minute walk) and will go throughout the week, weather permitting, to the playgrounds and fields to enjoy the great outdoors. On the days that we don't go to Central Park, we enjoy the rooftop at the Safra Center.
Challah Baking & Shabbat Party
Make your Challah and eat it too! Every week our campers will enjoy mixing, rolling, shaping and baking Challah. Shabbat parties on Friday give us a small taste of that warm Shabbat feeling with songs and a strong feeling of togetherness. A highlight of the summer!
Fun Days/Special Events
Fun days are the heart and soul of Camp Gan Israel. Carnival Day, PJ Party Day, Tie Dye Day, Bean Hunt, Prize Auction, & Petting Zoo are examples of the unique and innovative programming that help create the special Gan Izzy Spirit that lingers well beyond the summer!
Instructors
Every week there will be qualified instructors to guide the campers in various activities such as yoga, krava maga or music.

Throughout the summer our campers will enjoy the magic and wonder of varied shows and entertainers.
